St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, April 6th, 2023. For Immediate Release
Work Global Canada Inc., a Human Resource and Immigration Services firm based in Newfoundland and Labrador, had a successful business trip to the Philippines in earlier March. Members of our management team Paul Shelley, Wanda Cuff Young, and Katherine Salvador traveled to Cebu and Manila between March 7th – March 14th, 2023. While there they had a full itinerary of private delegate meetings and two public information sessions.
This overseas mission helped forge new relationships with industry leaders and delegates of the Philippine political labor relations, educational, and business community. Notable highlights included invaluable time with, but not limited to, the following:
- Augusto W. Go- President University of Cebu,
- Hon. Emmarie Ouano-Dizon- House of Representatives, 6th District, Cebu,
- Ms. Glenda Aligonza- Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) OIC- Chief RCV-Cebu Office,
- Mr. Vicente Gamaliel Jr.- TESDA Regional Director
VP of Operations, Wanda Cuff Young, of Work Global Canada Inc, says “we were grateful and honored to have met key figures in the community to engage and establish an alignment of initiatives and ideas.”
On March 9th and March 12th, our team hosted two public in-person Information Sessions. These opportunities were hosted in the Philippines’ two largest centers (Cebu and Manila) and were very well received. We were pleased by the overall turnout and feedback. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response and reception to these events, our firm will revisit the areas soon.
Human Resource Manager, Katherine Salvador, of Work Global Canada Inc, says “it was a wonderful experience to re-visit and reconnect with my native homeland and to provide first-hand testimony on my own personal immigration experience.”
Paramount to our visit there was to assess the landscape to initiate the establishment of an overseas permanent office in the Philippines. While much of those details will be forthcoming our team was grateful for the hospitable and productive expedition.
CEO and President, Paul Shelley, of Work Global Canada Inc, says “this trip has provided a positive overview towards meeting our goal into an overseas office.”
